PAWSitive Performance Dog Training (PPDT) was incorporated in September of 2001 as one of the Chicago area’s first positive reinforcement-based dog training facilities. Becky Jankowski, a Certified Pet Dog Trainer through the American Pet Dog Trainers Association and a graduate of the San Francisco Academy for Dog Trainiers was the founder and president. Becky and her assistants offered classes in obedience, Rally, puppy kindergarten, agility, flyball and therapy dog training. After four very successful years, PPDT closed its doors at the Downers Grove Thatcher Rd location in Sept of 2005.

PPDT continues on today at Becky’s home training facility in Downers Grove. As a licensed Delta Society Team Evaluator and Instructor, Becky continues to offer classes in therapy dog training. She also provides Delta Pet Partner evaluations several times a year at this location.

Becky continues her volunteer work as the Coordinator of the PAWSitive Therapy Troupe (www.pawsitivetherapy.com), a large animal-assisted therapy group with visits based in the western suburbs of Chicago. The PAWSitive Therapy Troupe is a charitable, not-for-profit association that is run independently of PPDT.

Becky also continues to judge both APDT and AKC Rally obedience trials across the Midwest.
